Achievement in Business and Service to Chapter. In 1993 Hamilton was the director of distribution for Nintendo of America and was responsible for annually moving $1.4 billion in Gameboys, Super Nintendo and all Nintendo games to 8000 stores throughout the nation. Bill Gates was so impressed with his operation that he hired him away to the position of Director of Distribution for Microsoft, where he was responsible for shipping Windows 95 out in one of the biggest releases in computer history. He was then promoted to the position of General Manager of Hardware Operations at Microsoft. Now retired from Microsoft, Hamilton a few years ago, single handedly paid off the mortgage on the chapter house. |
