The Force of Many, The Power of One
Beta Chapter - Ohio University

Phi Kappa Tau believes that it is very important to give back to the community, and we do so in many ways. Our main philanthropy was founded by former Ohio University student and Phi Tau alumnus, Paul Newman. His Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is an organisation to benefit terminally ill children. Phi Tau annually donates a minimum of one thousand dollars to this cause through various fundraisers such as brother auctions, basketball tournaments, and rafflites. We also volunteer our time with various local organisations as well as cleaning up trash along our adopted highway.

Each quarter we host one large, campus-wide philanthropic event. This fall was the first annual Phi Tau Warrior Week. It was a huge success, raising over 700 dollars for two philanthropies. 6 sororities competed in the week-long event. Congratulations to Sigma Kappa sorority, the winners of the first annual Warrior Week. In the winter, Phi Tau puts on a campus-wide John Madden Football tournament and in the spring we put on Bar Wars where all of the bars on Court St. compete against each other to see who can raise the most money.
